3D Characters from Pixels
I created these models as part of a project that modifies the original 90s' Doom games by replacing the 2D, pixelated art with more modern 3D graphics.
The goal was to adopt the original style of the Doom pixel art by identifying the characteristics most recognizable to the existing fandom, and translating those characteristics into 3D models.
The Doomguy
The Doomguy (a.k.a. the Doom Space Marine) is the voiceless protagonist and player character of the Doom franchise.
Original Pixel Art
I adapted the model style to loosely mimic the in-game pixel art of the original 90s' Doom games.
Doomguy Model
Includes meshes of the body, helmet, visor, and shotgun.

The Shotgun Guy
The Shotgun Guy is a posessed human and one of the first enemies you face in the game. This model is very similar to the Doomguy which made this model relatively simple to create.

Significant differences from the Doomguy are armor color, added gore, and lack of a helmet.

The Imp
The imp monster is one of the first and most encounterd enemies in the game.

As one of the most iconic monsters of Doom, it needed thoughtful care in how I adapted it's features.
